What's New?

Sorry, ladies (and men) that I haven't posted in 12 days. I have been very tired and lazy lately. Reason being - I am pregnant! I am somewhere around 10 weeks. I can't wait to get out of the first trimester and hopefully get some energy back. I can't really complain too much though because other than being tired, I am not having morning sickness or any other problems. I had my first doctor's appointment last week. They were able to hear the heart beat already. It was in the 160's (does that mean a girl?).

My husband and I are very excited. Our daughter will be 19-months old when this baby is born. I know that it is going to be crazy for the first couple of years, but we wanted our children to be close in age. I pray that they will be best friends.

Princess turned 1 last Friday! I can't believe how fast a year flies by. It seems like just yesterday I was holding this helpless little baby in my arms and all she did was eat, sleep, and poop. I don't really miss those days. She is so much fun right now. I love just to watch her play with her toys and jabber away. She isn't walking yet, but I think before too long she will be running around our house.

She had her 1-year doctor appointment last week (on her birthday). She weighs 16.8 pounds and measures 26 inches in height neither of which are on the charts. She is just a petite little girl (with a head circumference in the 90 percentile!).

This is a picture of her eating her cake at her birthday party. I was so proud that she didn't make the mess that everyone was hoping for. She used her fork and ate just like any little lady would.

Congratulations!!! We are so excited for you!!! My little boy had his nine month appointment about 3 weeks ago and was 20 lbs, and 28.25 inches! That may sound big compared to your princess, but he is only in the 50th percentile!

She looks so cute eating her cake!

Glad to read one of your posts again!

Congratulations! I am so happy for you and love reading your adventures as a new mommy. Having my first two boys so close together (15 mos.) was challenging for a year or two, but now it's a total blessing. They are best friends and really spur eachother on - not always a good thing ;) Enjoy every minute of this journey - it flies by! Congrats again!
