A New Hobby

A couple of my family members have been asking me when I will start blogging again. I didn't realize that it has been 2 months since my last post. Time flies when you are having fun. My new fun (hobby) is crocheting. I learned at the beginning of February to crochet. Our church has a new ministry called Community Connectors. My friend Livin' Life comes up with great ways to bless others in our community. In February, we crocheted or knitted hats and scarfs for our Streets Ministry to hand out. So I started crocheting hats. I think I made like 8 hats and 1 scarf - something like that.

Now I am addicted to crocheting. Here are some things that I have made since February.

This is a small drawstring purse.

In April the Community Connectors are making baby blankets for neonatal babies at the Harrisburg Hospital. This is may first blanket.
This is a tote bag that I just finished last night. It is made of "plarn". Plarn is yarn made from plastic grocery bags.

That is incredible!!!! I love them! You must bring the hand bag in with you in April if you can. I really want to see what Plarn looks like.:)

Awesome!

Sooo glad to see you back here : )

Your projects look great. Several churches we have visited in our travels do a shawl ministry - make shawl's for those in nursing homes, rehab. and elderly in hospital. I got it started in our old church in Robertsdale, AL and have been told that it has really become a blessing!

You've heard it from me already but I'll tell you again - I'm so tickled that you are joining me in the fun that includes yarn and needles!

I seriously love the tote you created - design as well!
