I just cut a Christmas tree out of green construction paper and let Princess decorate it with foam beads, ribbon, and glitter paint.
With the green construction paper scraps from the above tree, she made a wreath. I tore the paper into little pieces. I cut the circle off of a Honey Bunches of Oats cereal box (but you could trace two circles from plates and cups). Then Princess covered all of the "brown" with the green paper. She then decorated it with 2 simple ribbons.
Amy talked about this craft at the MIA coffeehouse. We traced Princess' hands and one of her feet. I cut them out and we glued them together to make a reindeer. Princess used markers to make eyes, nose and a mouth (and whatever else she put on it).
I actually found this idea on the internet before Amy talked about it. On the internet, it suggested to keep this and do it every year to compare hand and foot sizes.

Such great idea's!! I heard you are one mean beader too. You are going to have to teach me. I love beaded jewelry.
You are a great mama!!!
Thanks for these ideas! I did trace Brady's hands and foot, but have not finished that yet...I think that I will try to do Smiles'...we will have to see about that ! :)
Oh, you're good! At Promises house, her son is the one who doesn't want to get glue on his hands. At our house, it's me. I am so NOT a crafty mama.
I continue to be in awe of you - and the other kid-crafty mama's.
I like the Q-tip idea with the glue.
I think I'm becoming a bit more brave with the purchase of my heavy duty plastic. ;)
