Oh, How I Love Laundry...

... Let Me Count the Ways (please hear the sarcasm)

1 pile of laundry as high as Little Guy standing on Princess' shoulders
2 more drying racks needed
3 stains removed
4 stains pretreated
6 loads at least washed already today (not all are dried and put away)
10 rungs filled on my drying rack
11 men's dress shirts ironed (I am thinking of joining this sport!)
12 pair of men's khaki's washed, dried, and hung
18 more loads to do (just kidding - I hope)
23 pairs of socks matched by Princess

This is what I am now pondering:
* Should I do at least one load of laundry a day?
* Should I have a set laundry day each week?
* Should I skip buying living room furniture for another gazillion years and buy Whirlpool duets instead? (Everyone says that they hold so much more than a regular washer/dryer)
* Should I send all of hubby's shirts to the dry cleaner? I wonder how much it costs?
* Maybe Princess is old enough to help with the ironing. She already helps by matching socks.

I send all of Jim's shirts to the dry cleaners. Best $1.25 we spend.

I started doing a load of laundry a day and it really helped eliminate the pressure of doing it all in one day.

I like to take two days to do laundry just because the thought of doing a load everyday makes me think that all I'll be doing is laundry. I usually get 3/4 of it done the first day and the second day is a breeze. Oh... we spend or return money on a new front load washer and dryer and it takes less time and it saves us money every month on the water bill and gas bill. Best thing we could of bought!

Don't do it. Don't forgoe your beloved livingroom furniture you have been pining for for YEARS!

And yea, check into the dry cleaners for husbands shirts! Thank you Jesus that I don't have to iron like that!

I have no luxury of choice - I have to have to have to at least one load a day. Especially now that spring is here and they are all sweating from playing outside AND now two of them are training for a 5k with The Boss!

Which reminds me, I should stop blogging and finish the boys' clothes or they'll have to wear recycled undies tomorrow ;)

No advice here - I have three loads sitting in the living room waiting to be folded and put away, one in the dryer waiting to be brought upstairs and 2 more that need to be done.

How do three people create this much work??

I hate laundry. It's one of those things that never end and becomes such a vicious cycle.

Go buy your furniture. I have never bought any of my own furniture. Our money has always gone to car repairs or appliances. I would love to purchase something I like for once. I actually have a super duper large capacity front loading washer. It still doesn't make much difference. Get the Furniture!! :)
