What's That Smell?!

Yesterday, I put Little Guy and Princess in the car ready to meet a friend at the park. Then I got in. There was an odd smell in our car.

We came home - blah, blah, blah. Most the time, I grab the two kids and go in the house leaving diaper bags, toys, drinks, etc in the car. There is just too much to carry. Last night I told Hubby that we need to clean out the car since I am picking up friends at the airport today.

We go out to the car, clean out the trunk. I said "do you smell that?" Hubby did, but it wasn't too bad. Then we opened the door to the back seat. Hubby said, "UGH!!! That smells like a dirty diaper was left in here!"

To make a long story short, we found the culprit. You will never guess. It was a tube of Balmex diaper cream that went rancid from being in the heat. We through the diaper bag away it because it smelled so bad. I washed some clothes and a bib that was in the diaper bag. After one wash the clothes still smell horrible.

Who would have thunk it? - Balmex!

Hmmm...I would normally recommend oxi-clean but we're talking about your little ones. I have heard that they make one safe for babies but have never used it. Have you ever used 'Totally Toddler'? You can get a spray bottle of it at Wal-mart for about $2.50 or at least you could when mine were younger. I could also let you use some of mine if you want...:)

That is so crazy that it would do that - but it has been hot! YUCK!

I don't think that Walmart sells the Totally Toddler anymore - you CAN get it at Babies R Us though, and it does work great.
