Vacation

Hubby was on "vacation" last week. This is the first year that we did not go to the Outer Banks in 5 or 6 years. We just stayed home relaxed and did some stuff around the house. Here are some things we got done:
  • a new garage roof (for free!)
  • cut 2 trees down
  • cut all of our hostas back (thanks to a tip from MIA)
  • visited Chocolate World
  • went swimming
  • went to two 4th of July picnics
  • Hubby did alot outside - I'm not sure what all he was doing
  • relaxed
  • I organized all of Princess' pictures from birth to now
  • went for ice cream too many times
  • Hubby went to a Phillies baseball game
  • went for several walks (which turned into the ice cream stops)

We had a good week. It wasn't as exciting as going out of town, but it was nice. Hopefully next year we will make it back to the Outer Banks.

It sounds like a wonderful "vacation." :) You both must feel such a sense of accomplishment because that was a lot of work!

Okay, to the important stuff: where do you live that you can walk to an ice cream shoppe? Oh the bliss! Coincidentally, that's probably why I need Weight Watchers - we lived walking distance to Rakestraw's for 5 years, then moved only about 1/4 mile further away for the next 5 years. Then we lived 1/3 mile away from Brewsters in the next house. Here - not so close! :)

I'm starting to think that's how we should have planned on spending our "vacation" but we didn't go anywhere last year and only went for a long weekend the year before so...we're spending a week at a cottage on a lake. I'm gonna probably go crazy trying to pack for the trip. :)

I have to say I'm impressed by the amount of work you got done. Well Done!

you definitely got a lot accomplished! I think that we need one of those vacations - but we are not going to get one of those this year...we will have to use our "free" weekends wisely!

Hooray for lots of ice cream! :)
