Works for me Wednesday

This is my first Works-for-Me-Wednesday!

A couple months ago, Princess decided she did not want to eat baby food anymore. She only had two teeth so that presented a problem. I decided to try the YoBaby yogurt. She loved it. That's an understatement - she cried when the container was empty.

She was getting fruit in the yogurt, but I was still having problems getting her to eat vegetables. That's when I had my bright idea!

The same company, Stonyfield Farm, makes plain yogurt made out of whole milk. I got the plain yogurt and added baby food vegetables to it. I know it sounds kind of gross when I say she is eating "greenbean yogurt", but she loves it and she is getting her vegetables.

As a side note, check out their website. It is rather interesting. They have their own blog. You can also get coupons.

another thing you could do is...give her canned carrots (cut in half) or peas. they are generally soft enough to be mushed by her gums. and she can also have the fun of learning to pick them up to eat them. :) worked for my boyo

My sister did the yogurt thing with her twins. She gradually reduced the amount of yogurt and now they eat the veggies plain, no problem!

Oh, I wish something like this would work for my 20 month old son. He refuses to eat veggies and when I try to mix them in food he likes, he'll take a bit, discover that there's a veggie in there and spit the whole mouthful out! Ugh!

Any other suggestions? :)

I’ve posted a WFMW linking within comments tip.

I just tried Yobaby yesterday! He loves it and is ALWAYS picky about his food... he'll eat anything, but only like 5 bites... this he ate half the container!
