New York City

We had a great time! We decided to stay in the Times Square, Central Park, 5th Avenue area all day. We did a lot of walking.

"Sight Seeing"

*Times Square

*Trump Tower

*FAO Schwarz

*Toys 'R Us in Times Square

*NBC Studio Tour (this was awesome). We actually got there just in time to see some of the the Saturday Night Live rehersal. The only famous person we saw was Lebron James (for those of you who may think like me that maybe he is a singer, Lebron James is a basketball player.) He was hosting SNL on Saturday.

*Tiffany's

*Central Park

"Food"

*Breakfast - Europa Cafe (I would definetly recommend checking this place out if you are in the city. It was very good.)

*Lunch/Dinner - Bubba Gump's

*Coffee and pastry - Europa Cafe

"Interesting"

*First thing we saw was a man get hit by a car. Seriously. He wasn't hurt. We heard a tire squealing and then saw a man laying on the hood of a car. He exchanged info with the girl driving the car and walked away.

*We saw the Naked Cowboy

*Freddy Kruger brushed past me

*We saw a Statue of Liberty "look-a-like" (just much smaller. there was a person dressed as the Statue of Liberty)

We will be taking another trip to NYC someday to see more.

I Need Recommendations - NYC

As I stated in my last post, Hubby and I are going to be spending a day in New York City. We are very excited! Hubby hasn't been their in over 10 years. I was just there about 3 years ago with a couple of girl friends to shop.

Hubby and I are trying to decide what to do while we are there. We decided not to do a show, because we think it will take up too much of our day. We would like to do touristy (I don't think that is an actual word) things, i.e. Times Square, Central Park, FAO Schwartz, 5th Ave.

Do you have any recommendations? We are not big on museums. We love to window shop. We were also thinking of going to the Statue of Liberty, but we are afraid that it will take up too much time.

Weekend in the Sun!

This past weekend, we were blessed. We were invited to go to our friends beach house in Delaware. Although it was a lot of work with two babies, we had a great time.
Princess did not like the ocean, but loved the sand and the pool. Little Guy slept the entire time we were at the beach. We tried putting him in the pool, but as soon as his toe touched the water he screamed!!
Here are a couple pictures.
Princess loved the sand!

Vacation

Hubby was on "vacation" last week. This is the first year that we did not go to the Outer Banks in 5 or 6 years. We just stayed home relaxed and did some stuff around the house. Here are some things we got done:
  • a new garage roof (for free!)
  • cut 2 trees down
  • cut all of our hostas back (thanks to a tip from MIA)
  • visited Chocolate World
  • went swimming
  • went to two 4th of July picnics
  • Hubby did alot outside - I'm not sure what all he was doing
  • relaxed
  • I organized all of Princess' pictures from birth to now
  • went for ice cream too many times
  • Hubby went to a Phillies baseball game
  • went for several walks (which turned into the ice cream stops)

We had a good week. It wasn't as exciting as going out of town, but it was nice. Hopefully next year we will make it back to the Outer Banks.
