Care Package for Jesse

This is Jesse (on the right) with an Iraqi policeman

I always thought it would be nice to send a care package to an American soldier serving in another country, but I didn't know any personally. So the thought would cross my mind, but end shortly after. Now, my brother-in-law, Jesse, is serving in Iraq. I now know someone that I can send to and I love sending him things.

I am getting ready to put together another package for him. I thought I would give you the opportunity to bless someone serving our country. If you are interested in sending any items or just a letter, let me know. I would like to get a package out to him sometime next week.

Some things that he is requesting:
~white mid-calf length socks
~snacks
~Power Bars (his favorite is chocolate peanut butter)
~Power Gels (his favorite is Strawberry Banana)
~AA batteries
~hard candies
~gum

Just reading that list got my choked up. I'd like to contribute. I'll have stuff for you on Friday. :)

Emily - can you email me Jesse's address? For some reason I never got it. I'd love to contribute to your package, but for the same amount of money to ship my items to you, I can just ship one to Jesse from up here :-) My email address is djw209@gmail.com

Thanks!!

Dana

I just teared up reading this! I am so reminded of the 9th grader that was in my HR - he is such a different person now! (Thank God!) Oops on the raspberry power gels! (hope that he still enjoys them!)
