Making Money?

I have been trying the CVS game. I have had some successful transactions (I have also made some mistakes from not reading the right size, style, etc.) Anyhow, yesterday I ventured out to see what I could get. I took a list, CVS coupons, manufacturer coupons, and my "extra bucks" that I had earned in the past. I bought $36.?? worth of merchandise, spent $3.??, and earned $11.99 in "extra bucks". I did make a mistake this visit. I will be going back later this week to earn more "extra bucks".

I also went to Giant for groceries yesterday. I'm not sure of my total savings, but I did get my free ham. And I also used a $5 off coupon that I had earned along with other manufacturer coupons. I know I saved quite a bit.

My last stop was at Rite Aid. I used a rain check from December and received a free bottle of Baby Magic body wash. I bought a bag of Hershey's chocolate that I had never tried. I will be getting a full rebate from that. I transferred one of Hubby prescriptions from CVS to Rite Aid. So when we picked that up (with a coupon) we received a $30 gift card for Rite Aid!

The quote of the night:

Me to Hubby: "See, I'm doing my part to save our money."

Hubby (jokingly) to Me: "Yeah, and you do your part of spending our money."

Oh well, what can I say!

That's just amazing. I have been watching Promises keep up with her CVSing and just an awe that you guys have the initiative to do this. I just get so overwhelmed with shopping in general. You guys are super moms!!!

hahaha! I've been trying the CVS thing, too, but this is where CVS makes it's money back. I bought a bunch of stuff I never would have bought if I didn't think I was getting such a great deal! They are marketing geniuses.....

That is SO cool! My main philosophy is to make a list before I go into the store and I ONLY buy things that will give me ECBs back - that is more in response to Melissa's comment.

In time though, I will be able to buy things that I need, but will never have ECBs back - and I will be able to get them "free" by using ECBs that I have earned...pretty cool! just remember to print out some more $5 off $15 purchase - they are good until the end of this month!

That's awesome! I got my free ham from Giant too...I am now hosting Easter Dinner! Yikes...
I love CVS, I always make my list & get my coupons together on Sunday's while the girls are napping. I find it to be somewhat relaxing to clip coupons. Anyway, great job!
