He's Here!!!

No, I'm not still in labor - HE IS HERE!!!

So in my last post I asked about how you induce labor. Well let me tell you. I started by pulling weeds for an hour and a half. Then I was up and down our attic about a hundred times switching Princess' clothes around. I then decided to do some painting in our bathroom. Cleaned the bathroom. As I was spraying Windex to clean the mirror, GUSH!!! My water broke. So if anyone needs advice on inducing labor, mine is just to work, work, work.

Sorry about the picture I made you look at in my last post. I really wanted to post a nice picture of me and my belly, but then my water broke. I didn't take the time to get nice and dressed up for you. Therefore, you got just my body with a terrible outfit. Again I apologize.

My labor and delivery couldn't have been any better. My water broke at 2:45 pm., contractions started around 5 pm. I went to the hospital around 6:30, got my epidural right away. My midwife started me on Pitocin. I was fully dilated by 9:20. And he was born at 9:34 p.m. Not bad after a 16 hour labor the first time around.
Anyhow this is what you have all been waiting for

Little Guy (his name for now, but will be changing in the near future) was 6 pounds 15 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.

Princess is adjusting well. She doesn't really pay too much attention to him at this point, but does like to help burp him and rub his head.

I know The Husband is going to want your screen name for him to be Dan Marino.....you know, since you didn't name him that in real life (he's just jealous since he didn't have his own boy to name Dan Marino).

Congratulations! :-)

Congratulations to all there! What a sweet little face. Enjoy every minute - they fly by, as you well know. So glad you are all safe, healthy and home. Now, go take a nap and put your feet up for a while. Wish I was there to do a meal for you :)

You mentioned a great advantage to having children so close in age - they don't really notice them much. And since the baby sleeps alot right now (at least I hope he does) you'll still have alot of quality time to spend with Princess.

Hey, put me down for a meal and I make sure to screw you over and then offer to order pizza!

Congrats - he's beautiful.

What a peanut! He is too cute ~ watch that rubbing of the head doesn't turn to hitting of the head. That's what happened with Nate. Could be because he's a boy...and boys are a little more aggressive.
